How the Cycos Score works
Every score is computed from a real datapoint, not hand-typed from a hunch. Each city is measured on two fully data-driven dimensions — the same inputs always produce the same score:
- ClimateRideable days / yearSix years of daily weather (Open-Meteo): days with a high of 7–35 °C and under 5 mm of rain.
- Bike infrastructurekm of cycleway near the centerDedicated bike paths and protected lanes within 10 km of the city center, measured from OpenStreetMap.
The overall score is the average of the two. Every number on a city page links to its source, so you can always check where it came from. See the full methodology →
